Premium Materials for Outdoor Durability

At GS3DP, the materials used to create a model are just as important as its design. We primarily print with Polymaker ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate), a premium engineering-grade thermoplastic chosen for its durability and resistance to outdoor conditions.

Compared with standard PLA commonly used in hobby 3D printing, ASA is better suited for garden railroad models exposed to sunlight, heat, rain, and changing weather conditions.

UV Resistance

Helps models retain their appearance and integrity when exposed to sunlight.

Weather Resistance

Well suited to outdoor use and changing weather conditions.

Heat Resistance

Better suited to elevated outdoor temperatures than standard PLA.

Durability

A strong, dependable material for structures, models, and replacement parts.

For projects requiring special features, we may use other materials, including polycarbonate (PC), depending on the design and intended application.

Our goal is to create attractive models using materials selected for lasting enjoyment in an outdoor garden railroad environment.

Made to Order

Every project is produced to order. We do not maintain an inventory of finished models or parts, and production times vary with the size and complexity of each request.

Once a quote is approved, orders are placed through Etsy where shipping, handling, and applicable taxes are calculated separately.
